All rules regarding discipline are governed by Cascadia Adult Soccer, and WSWSA Bylaws, Polices and Rules.

Red Cards (Ejections)

Any Player receiving a red card must forfeit her player identification card to the Referee and the Referee will file a misconduct report.  The Referee will return the player identification card to WSWSA.

All red cards are subject to an automatic minimum eight (8) day suspension starting with the day of the infraction. The Player shall also be subject to an automatic one match suspension for WSWSA matches even if that match does not occur within the eight-day suspension term.

The Player will be assessed a player discipline fine. This fine must be paid prior to participation in any Cascadia Adult Soccer affiliated match or tournament.

If a Player receives a second red card within one year of the first red card, that Player may be suspended for a period of one year starting the date of the second red card offense.

Yellow Cards (Cautions)

The Referee Coordinator will review all Referee reports of cautions issued. Any serious infraction, or repeat infractions, will be referred to the WSWSA Judicial Committee for further disciplinary action. The WSWSA Judicial Committee has the authority to impose suspensions and fines.

Any Player receiving three (3) yellow cards during a Season shall be subject to an automatic minimum eight (8) day suspension starting with the day of the third infraction. The Player shall be subject to an automatic one match suspension for WSWSA matches even if that match does not occur within the eight-day suspension term.

The Player will be assessed a player discipline fine. This fine must be paid prior to participation in any Cascadia Adult Soccer affiliated match or tournament. If the Player plays in any Cascadia Adult Soccer affiliated match or tournament prior to the eight (8) day suspension, the fine will be doubled.

If a Player receives three (3) yellow cards during a second Season within one year of the first three (3) yellow card Season, that Player may be suspended for a period of one year starting the date of the third yellow card offense of the second Season.

Suspension

During the minimum eight (8) day suspension period the Player cannot play in any Cascadia Adult Soccer affiliated match or tournament.  If the Player plays in any Cascadia Adult Soccer affiliated match or tournament prior to the eight (8) day suspension, the fine will be doubled. At the conclusion of the eight (8) day suspension period the Player can resume her participation in any Cascadia Adult Soccer affiliated match or tournament subject to the one match suspension for WSWSA matches.

For longer suspension periods, the Player must make a formal request for reinstatement to the WSWSA Registrar prior to registering with any WSWSA Team. These requests must be made in writing (email is acceptable).

Repeat Violations

Repeated violations by Players will result in severe penalties and fines, including the possibility of permanent suspension from WSWSA.

The Judicial Committee will review these matters and include additional investigation when necessary.  Disciplinary action will not normally be taken without attempting to obtain a statement from the subject Player.  Decisions from the Judicial Committee are final and are not subject to review.

Player Discipline Fine

The player discipline fine is $25.00.  The fine must be paid to the WSWSA Treasurer by mailing a check to
WSWSA Treasurer, PO Box 7505, Covington, WA 98042-9998.  WSWSA will return the player identification card once the fine is paid.
