Purpose: This Code of Ethics has been developed to clarify and distinguish approved accepted ethical and moral behavior from that which is detrimental to the goals and development of soccer within the WSWSA.
All Team Managers, Coaches, and Players will be responsible for the following:
Shall never place the value of winning over the safety and welfare of all players.
Shall play within the spirit and written laws of the game at all times.
Shall not tolerate inappropriate behavior regardless of the situation.
Shall be thoroughly acquainted with and understand the intent of the Laws of the Game at all times.
Shall refrain from criticizing the Referee during the game.
Shall have professional respect - before, during, and after the game. This should be mutual.
There shall be no demeaning dialogue or gestures between the Referee, Coach, Players or spectators.
Must not incite Players or spectators or attempt to disrupt the flow of the game.
Shall recognize that the decision to eject a Player, Coach or spectator shall be made at the sole discretion of the Referee. This decision shall not be considered grounds for protest.
